Which statute includes wildcard exemption?

What is the name of your state? CA

For Chapter 7 bankruptcy form Schedule C - Property Claimed AS Exempt it has 2 choices:

11 U.S.C. 522(b)2 or 11 U.S.C. 522(b)3

Which do I check if I want to use the one that includes the wildcard? I have found many descriptions of both choices but none of them say whether they are 11 U.S.C. 522(b)2 or 11 U.S.C. 522(b)3.

Can anyone help?
