What is the name of your state? OK
My daughter receives a subsidy each month. Of this money $100 is put in a savings account for her. In her name, with me on it. She's 4. Can they take her savings, If I file BK? I can show deposits into her account when her subsidy check is deposited. The check also comes in my wifes name. It's her money, not diverted funds of ours, she's just a minor and can't have her own account.

If it turns out I have to file, I will be using an attorney.

The account, as long as your name is on it, would be vulnerable. However, if all of the funds in it are from an exempt source (the susidy) and you can PROVE it, then the Trustee would likely leave it alone.
