My husband and I filed Chapter 13 in Texas 4 years ago. In 1998 we found that we could no longer afford our monthly payment and surrendered one of our vehicles. We were told that the lien holder would contact our attorney to retrieve the car. We still have the car. Our Insurance Agent sent a notice of renewal of insurance to the lien holder and it was returned with a letter saying that the company no longer owned the vehicle. Our Vehicle registration this year does not reflect any lien holder. What is going on?
