They Never Told Us!!!!

What is the name of your state? UTAH

I would like to know about the laws that pertain to notifying consumers when there are changes being made to there account.

Our mortgage company changed the amount and coverage of our homeowners insurance and never notified us. We found out accidentally by calling in to make a payment last month. The rates have gone up twice since last november by a significant amount. They tell us now that we are past due and must be current next month or they can take us in to court.

I want to know if this is legal, or if there is anything we can do to stop it. We think that they should have had to notify us of the change if they expect us to pay for it..... are we wrong?
