They went bankrupt & kept my money !

FLORIDA - A large flooring company took my deposit on 6/28. They have since closed all locations and I have limited information about them now. There are possibly 8-20 others in the same situation. What can I do and what are my chances of obtaining my money?

I also have information that the former owners son has started a similar buissnss under his(the son's) name. Is this illegal ?
