I am just getting out of a bad relationship and my credit for the past 12 years is shot. I am 30 and trying to rebuild my life. I owe back taxes because of this person. I also have a judgement against me for a car accident he had. I was not in the car but the car was in my name. Is bankruptcy an option I should consider? What will it erase and for how long? Thanks for any help.

You need to talk to a BK attorney about the amounts and specifics. Taxes most likely wil not be discharged in BK.
