quote:
Originally posted by Granny-Wicked: We had a backruptcy in the state of Colorado, 7/92. We recently found out that the bankruptcy laws have been changed from 7 years to 10 years. How do we find out which one we are in (the 7 or 10 year time frame) and once we obtain that time, how do we get the bankruptcy off the credit report? We have started to re-establish our credit, but can't seem to get over the hump of the bankruptcy, all new credit is A-1. We have been denied credit in the past 30 days and requested a report and found only the bankruptcy as the negative. How do we work this out?

My response:
10 years. It's always been 10 years, and it's still 10 years. The only thing that "may" change, and it's still in Congress, is the manner and qualifications for BK in the future.
