What is the name of your state? PA
After I file for bankruptcy, should there be a hearing scheduled in a certain amount of time. It's been close to 4 months and I've not heard anything. My attorney keeps saying he'll check on it...

Generally, they try and schedule a 341 meeting within 30 days of filing. Do you have a filing number?

Wow... I'd be calling the courthouse if that were my case. Its not impossible due to case load, but, as Bigun said, they try to make it near 30 days after you file.. 45 tops.

if this is a chp 7 and you were told it was filed 4 months ago, you're having your chain yanked if you've haven't even got a 341 meeting notice from the crt yet.
