Tx Help

What is the name of your state?Texas

I am in the process of filing Ch. 7 pro se I am planning on using a online company named Bridgeport Bankruptcy to fill out the forms for me. Has anyone heard of them or have any advise about them?

Also I have listed 400.00 dollars for food and we are a family of 3 is that about right some have said this is low and some have said this is high.

We are roughly 29k to 30k in credit card debt only. Plan on keeping mobile home and cars. Plan on filing next week and and wondering how much money should be left in our checking account I was told to lower as little as possible but I don't want to do anything wrong. I have paid all my necessary bills and planned on making a extra payment on our lot rent for our mobile home. This is ok? Also will the trustee take into account the reason I am prepaying bills is because my wife is a substitute teacher and come the end of May will not have any income again till Sept.
Any help or exiperiences with filing in the Southern District of Texas would be greatly appreciated.

The online forms place isn't really a good idea. I know it SOUNDS good, but some bankruptcy courts have decided that these forms places are promoting bankruptcy fraud.. bad idea. You're going to need to know EXACTLY what's going on those schedules, where, and WHY.

Go thru your checkbook, receipts, bank statements.. if its costing you $400 a month for a family of 3 that's what your expense it. Frankly I think $400 a month for a family of 3 is a bit low. I'm single in TN and I spend $300 a month on food and I'm NOT eating steaks !!

If you want guidance, but the Nolo Press book "How to File Chapter 7 Bankruptcy", its well worth the cost.
