What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? WA
We filed for bankruptcy and are getting close to discharging. We have a judgment against us that was obtained by a credit card company just weeks prior to our filing. So far no lien has been placed against our home. Do we need to have this judgment vacated in order to avoid having to pay later should we sell or refinance?

Yes, I'd get it vacated once your bk is discharged. That way, you can get it off your credit report. Lenders likely won't refi if they see an open judgment even if the underlying debt was discharged,
