Waiting for them to come get the carWhat is the name of your state? TX Just filed chap.7 yesterday and couldn't exempt my car. I didn't make the July payment and the August payment is due today (no, I'm not making the pymt). Obviously, they don't know as of yet that I have filed. Once they know (I'm going to call them in a minute), they cannot come repossess for a little while due to the stay... What I need to know is how long will it be? I'm sure they will file a motion to lift the stay so they can come get it as soon as possible... I just wondered when to expect to see it gone. |

| There's simply no way to tell. Some creditors will act very quickly, others seem to take their own sweet time.

| On the Chapter 7 Petition if you surrender the car in Texas they can pick it up without filing a lift of stay. |
