Warning Lables on credit cards

Credit cards should come with a warning lable, that reads
Do Not subsidise your income with a credit card, if you can't buy grocerys with what your employer pays you...starve, if you can't afford gas to drive to work, walk, If you can't afford an internet connection do with out. etc.
This is something they should be teaching in the 9th grade in school.and also they should teach kids about doing thier taxes
Lets get these subjects as mandatory subjects before they graduate! What do we have to do get it on the ballets?

I agree that it would be nice if kids were taught something about money management as they were growing up so that they wouldn't get caught up in the credit card abyss.

In my opinion, though, everyone is responsible for his or her own actions.

Using credit beyond the ability to pay is a choice someone makes, and I don't believe the fault lies with the credit card companies, though I do have my other beefs with them.

Are we responsable?

We can only do the best we can with what we know how. The Government should teach us the laws of the land, tax laws especially. Those shouldn't be left up to the individual to find out for themsleves. Time and Time again we see on TV with those cop shows how our civil rights are tramped on over and over just simply because we don't know our rights. Cops shouldn't be able to automatically violate our civil rights simply because we can't afford a lawyer to hold them at bay . That in itself is criminal, yuet I don't see anybody doing anything about it. Money is king. without it you have no rights.

The Government teach us the laws???? Sorry, there is such a thing as personal responsibility. If you can read and preform basic math functions, you can learn all you need to know about taxes and personal finance. Live below your means and put money in the bank. Get a basic economics textbook written by Paul Samuelson. In it, they say savings = investments. You do well in life if you maximize investment and minimize consumption. Nobody ever got rich by purchasing things that depreciate in value and then, compounding the error by financing the consumption.

If you need to file bk, I understand. People make mistakes and, get in over their heads and, sometimes the hole is too deep to climb out. Do what you have to do but, don't blame the government.

Personally, I think it might not be a bad idea if money management courses were mandatory for high school seniors, especially those college-bound. The number of college students walking around with massive credit card debt before they're 21 is scary, not to mention the student loans. The gov't has never set itself up as a tutor of the masses regarding the laws, we've always been on our own there. I don't think they gov't should pay for such education either all that would do is raise everyone's taxes, and the gov't already wastes enough of our tax dollars.

Well.. my 2 cents.. not that it'll ever happen, but if it could**************.. it wouldn't hurt. Unfortunately, most consumers only get their eyes opened about dealing with the B.S. that banks stick in credit card agreements until is way too late and you're in too deep to get out.
