What is the name of your state? North Carolina

When filling out the forms for the creditors, on the line for date debt occurred for credit cards do you put June because the interest is still accruing although it has been over a year since I have charged anything?

The date is an issue if it appears that you went out and racked up a bunch of debt in anticipation of filing. Otherwise, not a lot of attention gets paid to that, in my experience.

If it is an installment loan, for example, I'll put the date when the loan was acquired.

If it is a credit card debt, I'll put the date the account was opened.

No trustee has ever complained about this tactic, though I'm sure there are differing schools of thought about this.
