What does Real Estate have to do with bankruptcy? I'm a little confused!

I'm tying up my house in a bankruptcy.....in otherwords a foreclosure date has been set & a chapter 13 is the only way to stop the sale date. I asked some of the same questions here & over at the Real Estate Board as well to get some kind of reply. Anyway, "Home Guru" is the only person answering anything...he or she lurks over here sometimes but is mainly over at the Real Estate board.
