Writ of execution on vehicle

What is the name of your state? Maryland

BOA has taken a judgment against me for credit card dept. The sheriff caame yesterday and put a levy on my vehicle, which has a lien on the title to a friend who loaned me money. My vehicle is worth 14K and I owe almost 18K to my friend (making monthly payments). Is there any way other than BK to get this levy released either by my friend or me?

Besides paying the judgment, no. Did you claim your exemptions from the judgment ???? If not, then you need to, ASAP. Call the courthouse on Monday morning and find out what you need to do to claim your exemptions.
