What is the name of your state? fl
Is ziinet.com a good online way to do bankruptcy? You can print the forms from your own computer. Anyone have any experience with this good or bad. Thanks Tiffany

I dont' have any personal experience with it, but with something like a BK I definatley would recommend using a competent attorney. The worst thing that could happen would be for your BK to be dismissed because it was filed improperly. Just my opinion however.

I second that opinion.

Unless you know that the court you are filing with is friendly to self filers. I would get a lawyer.

My experience and others on this board seem to show that a mistake made by a lawyer is overlooked or accepted much better than a mistake made by a pro se filer.

There were mistakes all over my petition the trustee just shook his head and went on. If I was there by myself without a lawyer I am sure that he would have read me the riot act. Sent me away to fix all the typos.

Trustees are laywers themselves. Some do not like the do-it-youself petition filers. And they make them suffer.

Its worth the bucks if you can afford it.

One thing I would do if I had to do it over. Say VERY involved in the petitions. Learn how they are supposed to be filled out and double check your lawyers work. Some no matter how good they are. Some typos will get past them.

Good luck

I have to disagree with the other people that posted. I know two other people(personally) that used ziinet.com while I used an attorney. Their petitions were more professional looking with NO mistakes. I had to do all of the footwork and the only thing my attorney did was lend moral support at the 341 and of course, his staff filled out my petition(with mistakes) with ziinet it works like filing your taxes online. You put the info in and the system knows where to put it. Because it's set up that way there won't be any typo errors. The only errors that can be on it are if you omit a creditor. IF you have a simple BK, with no assets, and you are truthful with nothing to hide I would HIGHLY recommend ziinet. IF I could do it all over again I would use them instead of paying an attorney.
