What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? WV
I purchased a car on Saturday March 8th from a car lot in North Tazewell, VA. The car was brought to my house and after a quick test drive I told the salesman I would like to continue with the purchase of the vehicle. We sat in the front seats of the vehicle and filled out the paperwork. As I signed the paperwork, he gave me a brief description of what each of the papers represented. One paper I signed was called a "Limited Right to Cancel". He told me this was my paper that gave me 3 days to cancel the contract. After some deliberations with my wife and some number crunching decided the purchase was a mistake. I called the car lot on Monday to cancel and the manager was busy and had to call me back. I was never contacted that day, and actually was only contacted after I made numerous calls to try to reach him. The contract says no "cooling off period" ,however the salesman deliberately used the words you have three days to cancel. Am I screwed?
