What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Texas

We are a business and we received one of those checks that says on the back that if you endorse it you are entering into a contract for YP.com, online yellow pages. It was totally an accident that the check was deposited and we have no desire to buy anything from them. Is this a legal contract or can we just tell them it was an error and to quit billing us.

Thanks

Cancel immediately in writing and send it first class mail and also CRRR. This irritating practice obviously works. The checks they send out sometimes look like refunds and get deposited because the person depositing the check thinks it was a return on an overpayment.

Report these idiots to your state's attorney general.
