What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? PA

I would like to add a name to myself so I can go by it legally -- I looked into completely changing my name but it's a lot more complicated than I thought. Is it possible to add a name -- like another middle name -- that I can go by legally? Also, if it's possible -- what documents would have to be changed and/or filed to have that new name added to bank accounts and whatnot?

This is not an attempt to escape debt or anything criminal -- I simply like a different name and want to be known by that name instead.

Adding a name is CHANGING your name. So you would have to go through probate court and have a name change granted.

You shouldn't need an attorney. It should be a fairly simple and straightforward process.
