My mother-in-law lives in Nebraska. My father-in-law recently died from cancer, 6 months from diagnosis to death. She now has a lease on a pick-up truck. She doesn't want the truck, and the payments are a bit high for her to pay by herself. Is there anything she can do to get out of the lease because my father-in-law's death?

My response:

Sure, advertise the truck like you would for a sale, except advertise it to "take over lease", and transfer the truck if the person qualifies through the leasing company to take over the lease.
