Can a service provider hold you to a contract if it automatically renews itself every year? Shouldn't there be some type of notification of renewal for it to be effective?:(

I will give a qualified answer of "Yes". There are exceptions - but you haven't given us any details.

And, for the records...your "notification" is that piece of paper you signed.

Well there has to be more to this .

A contract that binds you year after year by itself is ludicrous .

You could be bound to the provider for life . :eek:
