What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Florida
I signed a bill of sale for a boat in florida, but did not write on it contingent upon a survey, for some reason. The survey i did found problems with the motor. Signed Bill of Sale yesterday, survey results came to me today. Do I need to worry about breaking this contract? Can I stop payment on my deposit? It's a private sale. Thanks.

without the contingency written during the sale, it is assumed to be sold "as is'. it is your obligation to get results of survey, get inspection, check liens on title, etc. prior to sale. especially a sale with a private party. i say, enjoy your boat.
