What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NY. Irecently had a porch addition added to my home. Contractor never got building permit. Codes told me to get PE to sign off. Inspector says structure has to come down for 6 structural discrepencies. contractor was supplied copy of report, but is still uncooperative. DO I NEED A LAWYER. NEW ESTAMATE TO TEARDOWN & REBUILD IS DOUBLE THE MONEY. and can Isue for att. fees? THANKS
