What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA
I repair iPods, iPhones, and other misc. electronics for a living. About 90% of the other people I know in the industry will also buy broken, but easily fixed, iPods/iPhones (broken/smashed screen/casing) then re-sell them for a decent profit. They won't disclose that the product has been repaired and will just state that it is in MINT condition; which they are cosmetically mint after being repaired. And since only the casing is being replaced, the phone is not liable to have any sort of malfunctions in the future due to the repairs. But the customer will find out that it has been repaired if they take it into the Apple Store to check on it's warranty. I've steered clear of doing this because it seemed iffy, but business has been very slow and well... I know the quality of my repairs and I know the phone's will have no problems due to my repairs, so I don't have any moral qualms about doing this but...
My question is what is the legality of this? I mean, is it a law that you must disclose that a product was once broken or something to that effect if you were aware of it?
Thanks
