I recently started going to a school in Hawaii and they say that i can get my AA in as little as 18 months. I apply & they say that it is possible in all their booklets it only talks about the certificate & the AAS that i can get but nothing about an AA. Me not knowing what an AAS thinking it was an AA I decide that I want to attend. Now half way through they are now advising me that I need to go an extra 2 more quarters to get me AA. If I knew that in the beginning I wouldnt have gone because in total i am going to school2 years which is the same amount of time it would take at community college & way less money. they get you to stay because if you want to get a higher education you need an AA for all the credits to transfer to another school because if you only have the AAS only half transfer
