Texas,
My husband & I purchased a used truck on Saturday (6/23/01) and now I regret it because we cannot afford the payment. After waiting all day at the dealership they told us our credit was good and they sold the truck to us. There is no way I can make the $459/mo. payment. They even talked us into buying a life insurance and an extended warranty. I know we are way over our budget but they told us we qualified. They made everything sound so easy so we caved in under pressure. Nobody put a gun to our head but I want to know if I can return the truck and get my $1700 down payment back on Monday (6-25-01)? Do we quality under the Cooling-Off Rule mentioned by the Federal Trade Commission?
