my husband and i were in the process of refinancing our home. at the closing there had been some miscomunication about fees. we were very reluctant to sign but at that time we were told by the mortgage company and the title company not to worry that we had 3 days to think it over and could cancel. we did sign but the next day spoke with some other companies and decided their fees were too steep. we signed the cancellation paper and got it to the title agency and mortgage company. the contract stated that we had a legal right to cancel without cost. the mortgage company is ok with it but the title agency said if we do not reconsider using them that he would have to send an invoice to us?? could you explain?
