Hello,

I acquired a car last night from the uncle of a friend of a friend. It was the friend of the friend who I did business with because the uncle is quite a distance away and he had presigned the title.

He signed the title where it says 'please print name'. I didn't notice this until later that evening. Being he's in Wisconsin, I'm in Illinois.

To make this situation more tricky my friend of a friend just left town to goto a funeral (I was aware of this before I purchased the car).

Is there anything I can do to legally transfer the title in my name without having the friend of a friend's uncle sign it in the correct spot?

Thank you,

David
