What is the name of your state? ohio
had hot water tank blow in june 2002 and went to replace carpet put money down on carpet and install ($250)
installer came to install and did not because they claim we had to clear all furniture and carpet. being pregnant and fiance just having major brain surgery at end of may that just was not gonna happen nor were we told prior that it had to happen
we refused their service and wanted a refund
told we could not but what we paid buys the carpet that had been cut
we agreed
now we call to get it and find out they have sold it and will not give us our money only a credit but also are keeping $100 for restock charge and inconvenience of the installer.
there was no contract or letter telling us of any such charges or even notification they were selling it
what can I do???

See what happens when you become a bad customer, and want things for the cheapest price.

You had to remove the furniture so they could run in and install it then go to the next job, like an assembly line.

If you wanted them to move the furniture and replace the carpet and move the furniture back, as a lot of retail carpet places do, it would have cost you a lot more money.

you usually get what you paid for in America.
