What is the name of your state? Calif.
My cell phone was lost or stolen. I didn't know it was gone for three days.

I called the cellphone company and reported that the phone as stolen or missing, and told them not to allow anyone to use my phone.

But it was already too late. Somebody had got hold of my phone and used it to run up a long distance bill of over $900.00. Looks like they even made ovrseas calls.

I told the phone company I did not feel I should be charged for the $900.

Phone company said I was responsible for charges no matter who used the phone.

I don't want to pay it. What can I do?

Thank you for your advice.
