Donated to church building fund in Oklahoma. New church leadership decided not to build after the money had been collected. They have said the building fund money will be used for whatever purpose the church leadership sees fit. Many people who gave to the building fund have left the church because of the poor leadership. Do we have a legal right to file a class action law suit against the church mentioned above requesting redistribution of those funds to another church or non-profit organization? Basically since many people left, they are using the building fund money to pay expenses. They will probably use it all up, then close the doors.

Thanks for your opinion!

My response:

Yes, if you can prove that your money was donated for that specific purpose. Don't concern yourself with a Class Action. For some reason, people think these types of lawsuits are more powerful, have more clout, and are scarier. They're not. The only real people that benefit from most Class Action lawsuits are the attorneys.

File a lawsuit on your own behalf. Make life simple.
