we live in nebraska. my husband co-signed for a car loan for his ex back in 1999. she's 2 months overdue on her payments and now the finance company has contacted my husband and my husband's first sargeant. what can we do about getting the car in our possession, and possibly getting her name off of the title so that we can possibly sell the car? we would also like to know how we can make sure that she can't get the car back if we decide to take over they payments? would it be possible to take her to small claims court if she doesn't agree to work something out with us or start paying on the car again???
