What is the name of your state? Virginia.
I am refinancing my home and the mortgage company has lost my closing documents. In addition, I have already recovered from a complete stranger W-2 forms, bank statements, pay stubs, last years 1040 tax forms that were sent by the mortgage company accidentally to this wrong address.
Fortunately the recipient called me and I was able to recover this material, however, closing documents are still missing.
To the best of my knowledge, Mortgage Companies may not release this information and this is a breach of my privacy. What kind of recourse do I have? Thank you for your help.
