What is the name of your state? Pennsylvania

we were trying to get a loan for a car, so the car dealership was working with a bank, all kinds of confusion about my husband's salary that we might need to show more, maybe my son could sign also. Very confusing. Said we would have to put x amount down and we could get the loan. Then more confusion and the bank still needed more income so then they went down to the other lot where they do in house financing and they were able to get the loan approved by the bank. Well, with all this confusion no one asked us for a down payment yet its say's we made one on the contract a cash down. We signed the contract and so did the car dealership and they gave us the keys and on our way we did go. Well, its now two weeks later and no one has contacted us about the money. Are we safe to think they won't ask? Being we signed a contact with xcash down. Or can they still get this downpayement money from us. We are not even sure we owe it because they were doing so much vanagaling on lowering the car price so we could get it. Please someone help here

Call the financing/title department of the dealership and ask them why the downpayment is recorded and wasn't collected. You might find that they applied some sort of 'cash back offer' in the column under 'down payment'.
