My wife's father forged her signature on a contract with western union. The account balance as of today is 24,000.00 The account is scheduled to go into collection tomorrow at 5:00pm

I was wondering what my options are here:

Do we tell western union that we never signed a contract?

Will he go to jail?

Should we just pay it off?

What if he does something like this in the future?
