My city requires any contractor doing work in the city to have a business license (I know this is not typical). I am not able to pull the permit for the work (window installation) because the contractor is refusing to pay $100 to the city for his license. They have $2,500 of our money since 2-26, I never get calls returned and was given incorrect information by their company representative which delayed our first installation date which was cancelled. I want the windows - is it worth having them do the work without permits? City inspectors frequently drive by in our neighborhood.
