I am from the state of Virginia.
I received a letter from a collection agency stating that i owed a landscaper over $1000 for services he says were completed on my property. No such service ever occurred. I never signed a contract or anything for him to do any work on my property. i replied to the letter the collection agency sent asking them to send me documentation of the work and any contractual agreement. Can this guy come after me for money if he doesn't have written proof of a work agreement or anything? please help, this is the last thing i need.
