can i cancel a contract for a wedding reception site? i already stopped payment on the check and talked to the owner of the company stating my problem. she only agreed to refund a small part of the money and my husband wants me to keep all of the gratuity instead. the problem is, is that the gratuity is listed on the contract so is withholding it the same as breaking the contract? the webster's definition of a gratuity is 'an extra payment not owed', can i keep all of the gratuity or only the part that would cover the actual beef that i have?
