My 20 year old daughter signed a rental contract for some wedding supplies in Iowa. She called at least 30 days before the date the supplies was needed to cancel. They are sending her bills and threatening small claims court. The contract she signed does state it is binding and does not give any details about canceling and payment. What are our options.:(

We really can't tell you what "options" might be available without reading the ENTIRE contract (which is beyond the scope of this forum).

However, I will offer that your 'options' are:
1) To pay the bill, or
2) Be prepared to defend their claim in court.

A contract does NOT have to have 'what if' clauses as to cancelling and payment to be binding. Those are 'conditions' that can be there to protect the parties. In this case, your daughter signed the contract, she is not a minor, and unless the contract is voided by some legality, it sounds like she is obligated to pay a 'reasonable' amount for her breach.
