A very large credit card company sent my son a card with checks that he could begin using immediately. Unfortunately, he wrote out payments for lots of bills. All the checks he wrote were bounced at his bank because the credit card company stopped payment on them...it's not clear why, except, that they must have checked his FICO score AFTER they sent him the card and checks. He has hundreds of dollars of overdraw fees to pay. Has he no recourse from that credit card company? He called them, but, they sarcastically told him to "see their lawyer".
I thinks this is horrible what is happening to consumers.
Thank you for any comments. ;)

That's pretty sneaky. But there's probably fine print somewhere in the envelope where the CC company reserves the right to stop payment if they dislike the credit risk of the individual. There's no free lunch.
