"Do-Not-Call-Lists"

What is the name of your state? GA
I am not on the official "Do not call list" in GA, but I thought I read somewhere that if you call a telemarketer and just verbally request to be taken off their list, and then they call you again, you can sue them for $1500.00. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

i dont know about the legal stuff..but, wouldnt that be nice!! I actually just saw an investigative reports (I think with diane sawyers) on t.v not too long about someone who has been doing this, and been successful!
