we live in louisiana. we accepted a $200.00 downpayment on a car about 2 months ago. the person that made the downpayment has not contacted us since then, and has moved. we don't know how to find the person. how long are we obligated to hold the vehicle before selling it to someone else? if the person comes back to claim the car and it has been sold do we have the right to keep the downpayment? we still have possession of the vehicle, and it is still registered to us. thank you
