What is the name of your state?
Kansas

I have a contract as an independent contractor. The contract states either party has to give 30 days written notice to terminate contract. Is e-mail considered a legal "written notice"?

I am the one who got the emailed notice that my contract would not be renewed in 30 days, and that my work would now be shared with another person on a first come first serve basis. Is this legal???? My contract states "written notice."

Unless you're arguing that it was "Typed" instead of "Written" it means start looking for a job.
