What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NJ
I purchased a vehicle in 2006. Today I went to trade it in and found out it had severe frame damage prior to my purchase. I did recv a car-fax and it was clean but I also asked the dealership if it was any accidents and they told me no (thats when they gave me a copy of car-fax). Today a recv a copy of autocheck and it clearly states the auction sold it to the dealer as severe frame damage a couple days prior to my purchase. I'm still paying on it but afaid to drive it now. Is the dealer reliable for anything since they new in advance? Is it illegal to sell a car with severe frame damage without informing the lender and buyer in the state of NJ?
