We purchased a used boat from a dealer represented as used and in good condition and sellling at a fair market value. In the three months it took to get the title and registration in our name, when it came we were shocked when we read on the title Salvage vehicle not restored to operation. This was never disclosed at time of purchase and in researching salvages, it is illegal not to disclose and the market value is about 1/2 not to say we should have known as to decide whether to purchase or not. Also it is insured at this time as a normal used boat when in fact they would probably not insure and resale value is nil. We need to know what recourse we have on this. The DMV enforcement claims they handle autos not boat title frauds. Who can you recommend to help. Currently we have a detective investigating this and contacting dealer tomorrow, hopeful something can be resolved, but if not, who would you suggest we turn to on this fraudulent sale? thanks

First thing you should do is file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau about that dirty dealer!
