What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Nevada

I have furniture in a consignment store and have been getting the run around with the company paying me for furniture that was sold in March 2010. At first I was able to pick my payments at the store but was told later that all checks would be mailed the next Wednesday after the end of the month the furniture was sold. For the past 3 weeks I have been calling and have gotten excuses and told..."the check will be sent out on Wednesday!".

Although just a $300.00 check, I could use that for bills. What is my recourse? I don't want to get them upset because the still have a lot of my furniture in their store.

Any advice would be appreciated!
