PA - I posted a question on the Real Estate boards but would like to know if there is a general contract law that protects a contract in the event of a national disaster? We had a real estate contract that had to be fulfilled by Sept. 15 but was not able due to the airlines and Fedex being closed. We are now being told the contract is null and void since it has expired and we no longer have the right to purchase. Are there any laws to protect against this?
