about a month ago we thought our transmission was getting ready to go out on our car, so we put a 150$ down on a 250$ transmission that we had been told has been sitting at this salvage yard for 4 yrs. well turns out we don't need it after all and we'r tight on money so could really use that 150. they said thats not there policy and refuse to give the money back. we were never told this at the begining.what can we do, if anything

They do not have to give you the money back. See if you can use it toward something else that might be needed or go ahead and get the transmission and try to resell it.
