During my marriage my husband and I purchased a home, in Oklahoma City, on his VA loan. I received the home in the divorce and he signed a quit claim deed. With the interest rates dropping, I wanted to refinance. My ex-husband agreed to sign on the loan and have his name back on the title. The mortgage company is telling me that the VA will not allow this. I was laid off from my job so I can’t qualify for a loan on my own. Is there a legitimate reason for them denying me? I have 13 years left on this mortgage. The payments are current.
