if 2 people enter an agreement to provide a service one for the other, once the service has been completed, how long is the contract good for?

My response:

Simply and generally, the life of a written contract is good until all parties have completed their respective duties; e.g., a party does "work" and the other party "pays", or until all contingencies have been met, or until the applicable Statute of Limitations expires - - whichever comes first.
